Along the Rivers of the Amazon, Hope Is Taking Root.
In communities reached by river, hope is being made known through clean water, compassionate care, Indigenous-led churches, and God's Word in the languages people call their own.

The communities we serve
For Many Communities, the River Is the Road.
Across the Amazon River basin, communities live surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty. Rivers connect families, villages, and generations. They are the highways that make travel and trade possible.
But distance also creates challenges. Clean drinking water may be difficult to access. Medical care can be hours away by boat. And for some people, God's Word has never been available in the language they know best.
Hope Made Known exists to serve alongside these communities and share the lasting hope found in Jesus Christ.
One mission. Three ways to serve.
Hope Becomes Known in Different Ways.

01 — Wells & Clinics
Sometimes, Hope Begins with Clean Water.
A nearby source of clean water can change the rhythm of everyday life. A small medical clinic can bring compassionate care closer to families who otherwise face hours of river travel to receive help.
Through wells and clinics, we serve practical needs, build lasting relationships, and share the love of Jesus Christ in visible ways.

02 — Church Planting
Hope Takes Root Through the Local Church.
We believe the strongest churches are those that belong to the communities they serve.
Hope Made Known helps equip Indigenous believers to lead, disciple, and shepherd their own people. As local churches grow, the message of Jesus Christ can continue to spread from one generation to the next.

03 — Bible Translation
Hope Speaks the Language of the Heart.
Imagine hearing God's Word for the first time in the language you grew up speaking.
Through Bible translation and recordings made in local languages, Scripture becomes understandable, personal, and accessible. Solar-powered audio Bibles help bring that message into homes and communities.

Compassionate service meets practical needs. Indigenous-led churches establish lasting communities of faith. Scripture in local languages helps God's Word become known and understood.
Together, these efforts serve one purpose: making the hope of Jesus Christ known.

There's a Place for You in This Story.
You may never travel the waterways of the Amazon. But you can help bring clean water, compassionate care, growing churches, and the Word of God to communities along its rivers.
